Composé en juin 2004 à Nice see here for a publication on “For Alan Turing”. “For Alan Turing” met en jeu un réseau de neurones artificiels, une simulation informatique de l’activité neurologique du cerveau. Ce système relève des recherches sur l’intelligence artificielle et est utilisé ici comme une mémoire dynamique capable d’apprentissage et d’auto-adaptation. Dans “For Alan Turing” le réseau de neurones qui joue sur un premier piano virtuel (à entendre sur les haut-parleurs à gauche de la scène) essaie d’imiter et d’interpréter le jeu d’un deuxième piano virtuel (à droite de la scène). Pendant le concert, j’influence en temps réel l’activité du réseau de neurones artificiels d’un côté et du piano virtuel de l’autre côté. La composition étant créée en direct, ne se reproduira jamais de la même façon. Related |
